New two bedroom house with covered porches, second floor deck and studio space. The existing one-story cottage was not designed to take full advantage of the bay views to the East and South, window openings were minor and common living areas were placed opposite the views. These issues lead to a complete redesign of the first floor. The kitchen was relocated to the center of the house and opens to a painting studio and family room. Two bedrooms, studio, bathrooms, and office were added to the second floor. A second floor deck connects the studio and hall to further take advantage of the water views.
